Graduated Lee H. Edwards High School, Asheville, NC and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC with a AB degree in Political Science.  Served in the US Air Force before joining Wachovia Bank & Trust, Co in Salisbury, NC. Joined Merrill Lynch in 1976.  Represented independent financial product sponsors in residential and commercial real estate, equipment leasing, mutual funds, and annuities before returning to private practice in 1987.  As a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant I have helped clients formulate and execute comprehensive financial, retirement, and risk management plans.
